Architectural firm CplusC invited Bell landscapes to design and create new gardens for this incredible project. CplusC had designed, and were now building the home so had a complete vision of the end product they were aiming to achieve.
The landscape design was divided into several components, the side passage consists of a crushed granite pathway and robust succulent gardens leading to a semi enclosed fire-pit area. The tones, textures and layout of the various succulents aim to compliment the surrounding materials of the stone wall and steel facade of the build.
Vines were planted in the fire pit area and on the rear facade of the house to eventually scale the walls, visually soften the build, and add a wonderful textural element.
Above the pool mandevilla is mass planted to grow over wire mesh which, over time, will create a vertical ‘blanket’ to soften and compliment the strong architectural lines of the home. The pool area and front gardens have a softer palette aiming to encourage children to play and run barefoot.
It was a privileged to be involved in this project.
